Product description
Pulsation dampeners, also known as pulsation dampeners or pulsation buffers, are commonly used components to eliminate pipeline pulsation and are essential accessories for metering pumps. They can smooth out pipeline pulsation and system water hammer caused by positive displacement pumps, such as metering pumps and diaphragm pumps. They use a corrosion-resistant diaphragm to separate the gas and liquid in the pipeline and smooth out pipeline pulsation by varying the volume of the gas chamber.
Shell material: PVC, PP, PVDF, SUS304, SUS316L.
Diaphragm material: PTFE composite, FPM, EPDM, NBR

Volume selection of diaphragm pulse damper
Pump flow rate per hour ÷ 60 ÷ pump strokes per minute × 15 = Actual minimum required damper volume. In other words, multiply the metering capacity (ml) per stroke of the metering pump (or diaphragm pump) by 15 to calculate the minimum damper volume required to dampen pulses by 90%. Note: (This calculation formula applies to single-head pulse pumps.)
Working principle
According to Boyle’s law, P1V1 = P2V2, gas volume is inversely proportional to gas pressure. This smoothes pipeline pulsation by changing gas volume.
It operates sinusoidally with respect to flow rate. During peaks, the gas chamber volume decreases, allowing the pulsation dampener to absorb excess flow. During troughs, the gas chamber volume increases, releasing stored liquid, thereby smoothing pulsation.
